Bill Johnston, Jr.

I was born a Connecticut Yankee but grew up in Menlo Park. I graduated from UCSB and have a Ph.D. in political philosophy from the Claremont University Center. Photography is a late hobby picked up to keep me sane during retirement from my job as a communications analyst. I usually use Fujifilm cameras and lenses.

I’m drawn to all types of photography, from street to landscape and portraiture to wildlife. I look for light, emotion, and interest, regardless of the subject. I always carry a camera with me just in case an indecisive moment may shout for attention. I’m a member of the Marin Photo Club, the Berkeley Camera Club, and Arts of Point Richmond.
