What inspired the photo and how does it relate to the theme?
I was photographing birds at dawn in San Francisco...suddenly the early morning light reflected off nearby foliage, creating this fiery water. When the ring-necked duck swam into the scene, with it's matching eye, I delightedly snapped the shutter.
