What inspired the photo and how does it relate to the theme?
Notre Dame de Paris may be closed for renovations following a disastrous fire in 2020, but its gargoyles have been a symbol of its beauty since 1240. Today, they still stand guard as Gothic-style ornamental rain gutters, waiting for the next storm to siphon the runoff into lead gutters, then down channels on the flying buttresses, then along a channel cut in the back of each and out of its mouth away from the cathedral.
