Photography

I love the night sky and the Milky Way. One can use the angle / arch of the Milky Way in a composition to frame the subject -- in this case Alamere Falls at Point Reyes. I backpacked with a friend to Wildcat Camp. The walk to the falls is about a mile down the beach. On this trip, there were Thunderstorms, and we ate in our tents to keep dry from the pouring rain and wind. Alarms were set for 3:00 a.m. in the hopes that the storm would pass, the Milky Way would be in position and we could see the stars. The Sky Gods were with us and presented us with this amazing scene. On the walk back, the clouds blew back in, and we were pelted with hail. I didn't care. I knew I had captured my photograph and the adventure remains with me to this day.
