About The Artist
Beatrice Thys Moe is a native of the Bay Area. Her family dates back to the late Gold Rush days in San Francisco. She loves capturing moments in photos to share them with others. Her photo collage of street art called “Oakland is Still Proud” was included in the first annual community art show at the deYoung Museum in 2020.
Artist StatementSeeing the iconic Eiger in Switzerland was a lifelong dream. The moment that I finally saw it, the image flooded my senses and I was suddenly overcome. The shot was not studied, but completely spontaneous. The photo recalls the moment the same way that I experienced it.
