Hines

The Artist Hines is a full-time artist originally from New York City. Along with his love of photography, Hines is also a self-taught artist and has thirty years of experience in painting. He has exhibited widely and has won many awards. Hines is also an accomplished videographer and guitarist. He lives with his family in Novato and has his art studio at Marin Museum of Contemporary Arts.

Photography is simply an extension of all of my other creative outlets: painting, music, videography and writing. My photographic epiphany came when I realized that there were images that I wanted to photograph as references for my paintings, and others that were absolutely beautiful solely as photographs. At that moment I understood the dynamic potential of photography as another tool for my self-expression.
