About The Artist
John Kunzweiler is a Marin County-based photographer and painter. John’s creative journey started with art in college but detoured into an MBA, leading to a career in international management consulting. For the next 30 years, extensive travel took John to every corner of the world, always with a camera and a sketch-book.
Artist StatementIf you must, think of my work as Expressionistic. I seek to use color, light and form to (re)create a mood, a sense of time and to tell a brief story. Even in fine art photography, which is very realistic by intention, I love to see well beyond the image: the light, the sound, the temperature, the setting…the story. For me, art is about sharing a moment and in it, the range of human experience.
