About The Artist
Thomas Winz grew up in Southern Germany. After moving to San Francisco he attended the San Francisco Art Institute graduating with a MFA in Photography. His work is in private collections and has been exhibited in Germany and the US.
Artist StatementI have been a late-night person most of my life. It is the Suspense and uneasiness of the night, along with the solitude, that I am comfortable with. I am drawn to the cinematic character of the scene, leading the viewer to connect with the images by using their imagination, memories, or experiences. The streetlights glow in the mood of this stillness, revealing the Urban Stage.
